Spinal CSF Leak Foundation

Jennifer Schoon is an active board member and volunteer for the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation since 2015. As a person living with a spinal CSF leak (spontaneous and iatrogenic), a heritable disorder of connective tissue, mast cell activation disorder, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, she has personal experience with different headache disorders and how they impact your daily life. Before the spinal CSF leak diagnosis in April 2014, she was in the physical therapy field for 15 years in a variety of settings: neurological, orthopedic, and geriatric, with leadership roles managing two day rehabilitation centers and the therapy department in a skilled nursing facility. In April 2014, her life suddenly changed when she was diagnosed with a spinal CSF leak, which she continues to experience with limited functional uptime. She uses her time now to manage her symptoms day to day and to advocate and raise awareness and education on spinal CSF leaks.
