AHDA Supports Migraine Documentary – “Out Of My Head”

“Out Of My Head”, is a work-in-progress documentary film which we believe will significantly heighten the profile of migraine, and raise awareness. Susanna Styron and Jacki Ochs have been making this film for over four years, and filmed at Headache on the Hill a few years ago. Now they are in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds they need to move forward into editing, more shooting, and eventually completion.

“Out Of My Head” reached its initial goal of $92,000 only two weeks in to a 30-day Kickstarter campaign thanks to an outpouring of support from the migraine community, and journalistic pieces like this in the New York Times:The filmmakers are determined to keep up the momentum until the campaign ends on November 23rd.

While they hope to raise additional funds toward completion of the film, the number of donors is equally important. Having a large number of backers will help to increase the visibility of the film upon release by creating broadcast interest, and the more people who see the film, the greater the benefit to the migraine community.

Please visit their Kickstarter page watch the video, read all about it, check out the rewards, and make a donation. No donation is too small (as long as it’s at least $1). Let’s help the filmmakers get this film finished and out into the world as quickly as possible, and all contribute to improving understanding of migraine.
